WHO AM I
Well, firstly, I wouldn't really define myself exclusively as a graphic designer. I am a Web Designer, Front End Developer, Graphic Artist with nine plus years of experience.
Currently I am actively seeking a position in the graphic/web design world for the action sports industry. I have a diverse background but have been actively involved in snowboarding since before the sport gained its popularity. Growing up in Laguna Niguel, CA and the heart of the Action Sports Industry, you could say board sports are practically in my blood. Since day one I have always had a passion for skateboarding, snowboarding, and surfing. I have been snowboarding since 1993 and had a season pass for eleven of those years.
My passion for snowboarding has followed my path in life. This passion was a big part in my decision to attend Northern Arizona University where I was Assistant Director of the Terrain Park at Arizona Snowbowl. After graduation I moved to Lake Tahoe and continued to follow my passion for the sport I love. Telecommunication and the ever-growing internet has allowed me to balance work and play anywhere in the world.
I currently have a Bachelor's of Science in Advertising with a minor in Graphic Design and Computer Imaging. This past November, I completed a Certificate in Web Publishing from UCSD.
Graphic Viewpoint is my business name in which I do all of my freelance web and graphic design work. A couple of my current projects are websites for Plant Source, Inc., and Foothill Tropicals, Inc. I have been able to find a niche in the nursery industry developing sites for the last two years. I am responsible for developing and maintaining the entire website including photography and content.
My experience has included work with Samuels Darnall & Associates, BambooSK8, Facelift Concepts, and Runningfish Design Studio. Samuels Darnall and Associates is a high paced creative agency which works directly with Surfer Publications. I recently completed a job with Bamboosk8 based out of Oceanside, California. Currently I am working full time as a web designer and front end developer with Runningfish Design Studio. We maintain a list of over 60 clients which continues to grow at a rapid rate. In my spare time I continue to work with Facelift Concepts, a company that allows you to create custom graphics for your snowboard, skateboard, wakeboard, and skis.
I am capable of a diverse range of skill sets including graphic design, web design, web programming, seo, marketing, advertising, and photography. My web development focuses on usability, optimization, cross-browser compatible, search engine friendly, and valid XHTML/CSS. There is nothing I can't do, and no project too big for me to handle!
